FabMessenger is a SECS-II (E5 standard, ) testing tool designed to run as command-line application under Windows with pre-configured XML data containing SECS-II messages descriptions.
Its purpose is to communicate over TCP/IP using SEMI E37 HSMS protocol in order to validate the proper functioning of an equipment cell control software when such control software is connected to a factory host server (FabHost).
FabMessenger is designed to imitate the FabHost behavior and send commanding and data retrieval SECS-II messages to the equipment control software. The messages are specific instances of generic message definitions in functional SEMI standards (E30 GEM, E40 PMS, E87 CMS, E90 STS, E94 CJM). The XML configuration allows different message content and variations to be defined for different scenarios and equipment models.
